Camp News2011 In Review We dedicated the main article for our Fall 2011 Crescent Chronicle to talking about all of the exciting things that have happened in 2011. But I can't leave the Camp News page without at least some report on what happened. This year was a time of revival for us and we saw many lives changed across all of our programs, including our Fall Retreats. (In fact, in nearly 20 years of full-time camp ministry, I have never experienced a year like this one!)
We had over 50 people make first-time decisions for Christ. Even more exciting, we have five adults during Family Camps receive Christ as their Savior! We also had 16 teenagers rededicate their life to Christ as part of this ministry! The total number of people who reported that they made some sort of a spiritual decision while at camp this year is well over 100! One of the best parts - for me - was when our teenagers during Sr. High Week decided they would rather not play games but, instead, knelt with each other and prayed. (Chapel voluntarily lasted over three hours that night!) It gives me hope when I see youth committed to God and to each other; joining together and praying and worshipping!)
This year set records for some of the biggest camps we have had in years! One of my favorite events was the Fall Jr. High Jam which shattered ALL previous records for attendance AND spiritual decisions. After speaking with campers and Youth Leaders, I learned that many of the youth had made a decision to follow Christ - some for the very first time!
2011 has been an exciting time for us and we look forward to seeing what God will do in 2012! Thank you to all of you who are praying for us and for our campers. We cannot minister here without you! God bless!
College Weekend 2012We have had a lot of our High School students asking about when they would have a camp program just for them. This year, we are happy to oblige with our new College Retreat Weekend on January 2 - 5, 2012. Join us for a time of praise and play that is geared to meet the needs of adults 18 - 25 years of age! The 4-Day / 3-Night program will feature a praise band and messages brought to you by our new partner program, The Trek. Join us as we learn about who we are and who Christ wants us to be! The cost is $109.00 per person and, as always, we have scholarship available, if needed! (By the way, college students wishing to stay Thursday night through Friday morning can at NO CHARGE, but we will ask you to help get the cabins readied for the upcoming groups!)

Roof Repair Project (Update)Well, we have some exciting news to report! We have raised our $36,000.00 goal and, thanks to volunteers, we already have a number of roofs replaced! We cannot thank you enough for your support of this ministry and for giving us the opportunity to reach out to even more people as we share the Gospel of Christ and help campers grow in their faith!
This, by the way, is only part of the upgrades we have planned for Crescent Lake Bible Camp this winter! We are beginning fundraising for renovations to the Bath House, Arena, Giles, Williamson and more! If you would like more information, please contact mike@clbc.net.
