Prayer Requests
We have had a lot of people ask if they could pray for specific needs of Crescent Lake Bible Camp. As part of the family of God and because of the ministry we are involved in, we welcome all of the offers of prayer that we get! We will update this page from time-to-time to keep you posted on our current prayer needs. If we can ever be praying for you, please contact us at clbc@clbc.net and let us know!
Prayer Requests - Posted November 8, 2011
CampersWell, this year has been an incredible experience! We had over 50 people make first-time decisions for Christ! We had sixteen teenagers rededicate their lives to Christ! We had two teenagers decide to become full-time missionaries! We have had 13 baptisms! Over a dozen youth commit themselves to knowing God more and living for Him in their daily lives! All-in-all it has been amazing to see how God moved! Please be in prayer for these youth and adults as they go back to their homes and have to live out the commitments that they have made. Please pray that God will help them to stand strong and continue to grow.
Crossroads Medical Outreach We didn't get the chance to do Crossroads this summer, but we are praying for 2012. This is our outreach to children (and their families) who are struggling with life-threatening conditions. Unlike Eagle Cove, the goal of Crossroads Medical Outreach is to bring camp to a church in communities throughout Wisconsin and, long-range, the Midwest. Not only will we be ministering to these children, but it is our goal to connect struggling families with a church in the area; that way we are part of changing lives for much more than a week! We have the program and structure, we simply need the funding. Please pray that if it is God's will, we will find donors who can make this dream a reality! (I will be starting to write for grants this Fall.)
DiscipleshipCrescent Lake Bible Camp is piloting a new Discipleship Training Program in December. It is our goal to provide opportunities for Jr. High - College-age students to learn more about the God they serve and to move from being passive bystanders to active servants. This Retreat Weekend will be the first of our new series and, if successful, will provide us with the groundwork for developing a four-week, intensive program to be offered through our Summer Camp programs. Please pray for Joshua Skoyen as he works on the program and pray that God will use it to fire up young people to serve Him!
Eagle Cove We are still waiting to hear from the judge about the ruling. Please pray that we will be able to serve God through this exciting new ministry! Pray 200For those of you who read this page, you are getting a "sneak peek" at one of our goals for ministry in 2012: Pray 200! This year, we had over 100 spiritual decisions made by our campers. Lives were changed, families strengthened and campers brought into the Kingdom. Next year, we are praying that God will move again and we will see over 200 lives transformed by the power of Christ.
Scholarship FundPlease pray for a special blessing to all of those who have generously supported the Scholarship Fund this year! We have some very special children and families who need to hear the Gospel and we are excited that through the faithful financial support of others, we will have the opportunity to serve them! Please pray that more people will help support this ministry as we try to fulfill our purpose: to share the Gospel and help people grow in their faith!
Summer Staff 2012It is never too soon to start praying for the college-age students who will be here directly ministering to the youth and families! Please pray that God will send us men and women who are strong in their faith and excited to share what they know with the campers. We have been so richly blessed with some incredibly talented staff and we are praying that God will continue to meet that need!
The TrekThe Trek is a new partner with Crescent Lake Bible Camp. Based on curriculum that has been successfully used elsewhere, The Trek helps people grow and develop skills necessary to improve their lives. Have a good relationship with your spouse but want to take it to the next level? Struggling with addictions or trying to cope with your past? Are you wondering who God wants you to be? Then be sure to check out The Trek! (Please pray as this program gets started - they have a lot of work to do to be ready by late January 1, 2012.)
