Wish List

Thank you to all of you who generously supported camp throughout Summer Camp 2011!  We received donations of paintball gear, the money necessary to put up our climbing tower and so much more!  Your donations have allowed us to share the Gospel to an even greater number of campers and, by God's grace, lives have been changed!  Now, through the support of a multitude of donors, we have completed our Roof Campaign and we have the money to winterize Carrie's Cabin and Williamson which provides us with even more opportunities to minister throughout the year!

If you are looking for a way to get involved in the lives of campers, Crescent Lake Bible Camp has a number of special projects that will help us provide new experiences and further our ministry outreach.  With all of the opportunities presented to us, its hard to find funding for everything.  That's where you can help!  We're looking for partners who will come alongside of us and help us to continue to grow.  I know its hard to believe, but even something as simple as a golf cart - which can provide a camper with health issues to move freely around the camp - can help impact people for eternity!

Our greatest need is Bibles!  We handed out two cases of Bibles to youth (and one adult) who did not have one!

4-Wheel Drive Truck

We are looking for a new or used 4-wheel drive truck to use with our plow blade and for heavy-duty hauling.  If you are thinking about trading in your old truck, why not donate it to camp where it can help to make an eternal difference in the lives of our campers?

15-Passenger Van (2)

Starting in 2009, we are looking for two new or used 15-passenger vans for use with our Missionary Trips and Wilderness Trips.  In addition, we will use them as a shuttle to Eagle Cove and as transportation for our Outdoor Environmental Education and Teambuilding programs.

26-Passenger Medium-Sized Bus - $56,000.00

We have a need for a larger bus for transporting campers on our Mission Trips, Wilderness Trips and simply to use as a shuttle between Crescent Lake Bible Camp, the "Back 40" and the new Eagle Cove project.  If you would like to donate to the cost of a bus for transportation, please click the link below.

Braille Compasses (2) - $100.00 each (plus shipping)

As part of our desire to work with people of all backgrounds and abilities, we would like to purchase two Braille compasses to allow us to provide active programs for the blind or visually-impaired.  These compasses, combined with the compass kit listed below, will allow us to provide adaptive programming for youth and adults.

Bunk Bed Mattresses (250) - $139.50 each (plus shipping)

For our returning campers, we are in the process of building some new bunk beds and doing some general improvements to our cabins.  To go along with the new bunk beds, we would like to purchase new mattresses.  Our goal is to provide you with the most comfortable experience we can while still making it feel like "camp".

Golf Carts (2) - $6,450.00 each (plus shipping)

We are looking to add two new or used golf carts to the camp; one for our Camp Nurse and the other for use with people with mobility issues.  The link above will take you to golf carts that are brand new but we will cheerfully accept donations of used golf carts, as well, provided that they are in reasonable working order.

Meade 10" Lightbridge Telescope (2) - $599.00 each (plus shipping)

Recently we received a gift of a 16" Lightbridge telescope and we are currently raising funds to build an observatory.  This telescope is the foundation for our new Astronomy programs, available for every group that comes to Crescent Lake Bible Camp.  But, one telescope, no matter how powerful, would have a hard time with the 200 campers in our typical Family Camp!  Because of that, we would like to buy two additional "supporting" telescopes - ones that can be used by everyone as they wait to look through the "big 'scope".  Combine these with an interactive slideshow, binoculars (perfect for viewing the moon) and our very own meteorite, and you will have a night to remember!

Silva Compass Education Kit - $399.00 (plus shipping)

Starting in 2009, we are adding a number of educational classes to our programs.  Our goal is to give campers of all ages a chance to "learn by doing".  Compasses not only teach a valuable skill, but also provide a fun time in the out-of-doors that everyone in the family can enjoy!  Combine this kit with the Brunton Braille Compasses (listed above) and we have an activity that everyone can take part in, regardless of their physical ability.

Ski Boat Lift And Canopy - $6,000.00

For those of you who have been a part of our Waterskiing Program, you know we have excellent instructors and a fantastic ski boat.  (God has been very good to us!)  To help protect our equipment, we are looking to purchase a ski boat lift and canopy that will allow us to pull the boat out of the water when not in use.  This small investment will help extend the life of the ski boat and provide a fun experience for campers for years to come!

Snowshoes (25) - $129.90 each (plus shipping)

Like to get outdoors?  So do our campers!  We are looking for donors who want to help us help people get active in the wintertime.  Currently, we have five set of snowshoes - which is perfect for individuals looking to explore the beauty of nature in the snow.  We want to get more people moving, though, and that's where you can help!  We are looking for the donation of approximately 25 pairs of snowshoes.  (If you click on the title above, you can see what type we would prefer, although we will also accept donations of any kind including gently used snowshoes.)

Trees of Wisconsin Field Guide (20) - $12.95 each (plus shipping)

As part of our commitment to education, the environment and outdoor activities for the whole family, we are creating a series of new classes for use with our Summer Camp and Outdoor Environmental Education programs.  These field guides will be useful for everyone - from beginning naturalists to long-time wanderers - as they learn about the beauty of God's Creation.

Video Production Hardware And Software - $1,028.99 (Approximately)

This includes a Canon Vixia HV30 MiniDV high-definition camcorder ($899.99) and Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Edition ($129.00).  This package will be used for our Summer Camp videos and the new promotional videos we are building for each of our programs.
