Our Doctrine
- We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:21)
- We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Mark 12:29; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19, 20, 1 John 5:7)
- We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:1820; Isaiah 7:14)
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Genesis 1:26; John 5:40, 6:33; Ephesians 2:13)
- We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as a representative, and substitutionary sacrifice, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. All who by faith receive Him as their personal Savior are justified on the ground of His death, burial and resurrection. They are born of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become the children of God. (John 1:12, 3:35, 16; 1 Corinthians 15:35; Revelation 1:5)
- We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Luke 24:3646; Acts 2:22, 24; 1 Corinthians 15:35)
- We believe in that "Blessed Hope," the personal, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent premillennial return to earth with His saints, to establish His millennial kingdom. (John 14:13; Acts 1:11; Luke 12:40; 1 Thessalonians 4:1318; Revelation 19:1116, 20:16)
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the saved to eternal life and blessedness, the unsaved to eternal conscious suffering and woe. (John 5:2829; Revelation 20:45, 1213; 1 Corinthians 15:5153)
- We believe in the preaching of the gospel to every person, and the edification of the individual members of the body of Christ. (Matthew 28:1820; Acts 1:8)
